Ozomatli
I went to the Ozomatli concert at Cal Poly last weekend and they rocked the house! The venue was the usual shitty self, but the band really managed to get the crowd going good! With 10 people on the stage and positions changing for nearly every song kept things hopping on stage!

Ugly woody
Why do people insist on putting fake wood on their cars in 2004? Its was tacky when they first did it. It was tacky each decade thereafer. Can we please stop and take all the automobile designers in Detroit out behind the barn and shoot them?
Perfect - flawed
This was written up on the whiteboard in the Koala room at Digi Foo. We used that room extensively and the whiteboard saw a lot of action, but no one erased this little gem on the whiteboard.
Such a good little quip.

More storm damage
A restaurant supply place was in the process of moving into this new location on the corner of Nipomo and Marsh. I guess that will be delayed a little bit now...
Storm Damage
We had our first autumn storm come through town yesterday and one very large tree in front of this curtain store came crashing down, damaging the roof a bit. These guys got away pretty lucky -- the store next door didn't fare so well.

Pacific Starlight
On the next day, I had an Amtrak train pass me -- this time is was the Pacific Starlight train from LA to Seattle. This is the only northbound train from SLO per day -- the other train leaves southbound for San Diego. Did I mention we have few trains here?
Freight train
I snapped this freight train picture while I was out riding my bike. There are few trains in this town, so actually seeing one is rare. However, it does look as it Union Pacific is doing work on the lines here and adding more infrastructure. I wonder if they plan in increasing the number of trains running through SLO.
