Music industry watch
Audio Lunchbox
I just checked out Audio Lunchbox, an online music retailer that does not believe in DRM. Audio Lunchbox sells VBR MP3s and Ogg/Vorbis of indie musicians. For instance, they have CD Baby and my favorite label Guidance Recordings which has some of the best indie down-tempo stuff out there.
I also like that you can download your stuff in a zip file, instead of downloading all the tracks by hand. The bandwidth sucks right now, but they just got slashdotted, so that is to be expected. Overall, I really like this service -- simple to use, no-nonsense, good content and no DRM!!
Good going guys -- we need more like you!

We have been reading blogs all over the internet about digital music downloading.
Our name is the Asher Kahn Band and we recently partnered with the American Cancer Society to offer "Down With Disease: Download For The Cure".
Everytime our song "We Get By" is downloaded from Audio Lunchbox or iTunes, all proceeds go to fight cancer! Its an easy way to give back.
Please consider our song "We Get By" when you are purchasing at iTunes or ALB next time.
Help us help each other.
