Looking for a non-profit secretary and treasurer
As you may know, MusicBrainz is in the process of creating a non-profit corporation to provide legal shelter to for MusicBrainz. I have nailed down all of the board of director positions (it took a while, but I am happy with the results) and now all I need to do is find one volunteer to be the treasurer and secretary. The job duties for this person include:
Secretary:
- Take official meeting notes 4 times a year. 1 time will be in person in San Francisco and 3 times will be virtual meetings via IRC/phone conference. These meetings will take about 1 hour each.
- Send meeting notes to directors, file the meeting notes into the company book, and get meeting notes approved at the next board meeting.
Treasurer:
- Work with me to establish fiscal polices and have them approved by the board.
- Prepare financial statements for each board meeting and present the statements at the meetings.
- The treasurer will not actually keep track of the day-to-day financial happenings. I will take care of that since it will be a fair amount of work.
