Issue roundup

A few interesting things went down while I was preoccupied with the holidays, earthquakes and building computers:

• DVD Jon is acquitted again
• The MPAA takes a kinder approach to dealing with copyright infringers

  "The movie studios," he said, "are trying to prevent themselves from becoming the next music industry."

• Dropload is a place to stash files for someone else to come pick them up.
