Washoe County sucks and BM needs you!

Washoe County just revoked BMs land use permit for the BM staging area at 120 acres. This work site is not on the playa and does not adversely affect the environment around it. But, the county had already made up its mind to revoke the permit so the hearning was useless. Now BM has filed a lawsuit against the county in order to get a fair hearing.

Please support BM's efforts and sign this online petition please. Pretty please. Burning Man needs you!

Hi,

In response to the recent decision to deny Burning Man the right to use its own property form which to stage the event, I've prepared a petition to the Washoe County Board of Commisioners.

I know that BM is encouraging people to attend the meeting this Tuesday in Reno, or consider writing letters to the editor of the Reno Gazette, but I figure that a petition couldn't hurt either for those who can't make it, or may feel uncomfortable writing letters themselves.

I was hoping that perhaps you could forward the url below to those on your list, and encourage them to sign it, and pass it on so that we can acquire as many signatures as possible before the Commisioner's meeting on Tuesday, June 10th.
